Happy Friday! I am sharing a card and a bookmark today for Unity's Friends With Flair.
First the card. I love this lightbulb with the pretty script sentiment from the June KOTM In Love With Love. I watercolored it with some yellows and oranges and cut it out. For the background I cut a sunburst design out of a piece of paper and used it as a mask to cover my cardstock and sprayed it with yellow and orange Dylusions ink. When it dried I popped up the lightbulb over it.
Next is a fun little bookmark I made using Unity's I Love Big Books itty bitty. I watercolored this and gave it to my 5yo after she finished her 1st chapter book. We were both pretty excited! I wrote her a note on the back of the bookmark and dated it. I love to read and so does she. It was so much fun to help her through her first chapter book and I was very impressed by how well she retained names and recalled exactly what was going on from previous chapters even after a few days of not reading. Even I had forgotten some of the characters names. We are now about to finish our 3rd chapter book of the summer each at just over 100 pages.
Thanks for visiting today and remember to check out all of the other wonderful FWF entries and leave a comment for a chance to win some Unity stamps!
