Do you ever get an idea for a card and just have to go and try it RIGHT NOW! That was this first card, only when I stole 5 minutes for myself and went down to my craft table to make it I couldn't find my stack of white paper anywhere. Since I was planning on covering up my embossed image with distress inks I just grabbed the first paper I saw which was a cute yellow with orange dots and some summer words and figured that it would all cover up anyway. It didn't but I think I like how it turned out better! The bold background became subtle under the distress inks and gives the card some added character. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. I white embossed the flower from Unity Stamp Co's June KOTM and sponged some Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed distress inks over the image and finished it with a sentiment (from Unity's Lovely Butterfly Day) stamped in vellum.
In fact, I liked how it turned out so much that I went down later and played with some of the leftover paper and came up with this card using the same technique.
The stamps used here are from Unity's July KOTM Beautiful Inside and Out.
And now what you've all been waiting for, winner time!!! I used Random.org to generate a number between Day 1 and Day 5 and it picked Day 2. There were 23 comments on that post and Random.org picked 15, which was...
